The Long Night of Architecture
BAU meets Munich: The Long Night of Architecture presents Munich's most beautiful and most significant buildings on tours of the city.
One of the highlights in BAU's supporting program is the Long Night of Architecture. It takes place on January 20, 2017. The event bridges the gap between BAU and the city of Munich as well as all Munich residents who are interested in architecture.
The tours take participants to the city's most beautiful and most significant buildings. These structures have a very special flair at night. In some cases, the Long Night of Architecture is also the only chance to take a look behind the facades of these buildings.
Between 19:00 and midnight, shuttle busses provide service between the buildings selected for the tour. The busses are free of charge and passengers can get on and off whenever they please. Architecture students are on the busses to provide information about the buildings on the tour.
Besides normal tours, which are open to the general public, there are also guided tours with a set schedule for BAU's exhibitors and visitors. These tours start at the trade-fair center. If you are interested, please sign up in advance.
Special group arrangements with tours and explanations in other languages are also possible.
The Long Night of Architecture is organized by Messe München in conjunction with the city of Munich and the Board of Building and Public Works in the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior, Building and Transport.
The thematic tours give you the exclusive opportunity to participate in architectural tours, thematically tailored for industry professionals of BAU. Discover Munich from BAU perspective.
It is only possible to participate in the thematic tours as exhibitor or professional visitor of BAU 2017 in Munich.
