Digital Village – for the first time at BAU 2019
Under the motto of “We connect, we maximize, we inspire” the new Digital Village, in the exhibition hall C5, brings together for the first time at BAU digital initiatives in the building industry with current developments in the software sector.
The digital change in the construction industry: Selected start-ups and companies from the industry present their products and business ideas as well as current trends and solutions on 140 square metres. The spectrum of digital ideas, services and products on show ranges from construction sites and construction site logistics to building planning, building maintenance, renovation/modernisation and building material recycling.
Digitalisation in the construction industry is progressing and this is accompanied by new impulses, new ideas and approaches with regard to the planning, construction and renovation of buildings. In particular, the "Smart Home" theme has ensured that our exhibitors' products are becoming more digital and that networking among them is increasing. From air-conditioning, heating and shading to access systems, everything is interconnected and exchanges information.
But not only existing companies in the construction industry are adapting to digital change, new start-ups are emerging and developing innovative ideas that are changing the industry. This results in exciting new concepts.
In the Digital Village, BAU offers the opportunity to present these ideas and establish contacts with top decision-makers, potential supporters, investors and future customers.
The start-ups will also have the opportunity to present their business concepts at public pitches in the Digital Village's Speakers Corner on two days of the fair. A competent, independent Digital Village jury will select the most convincing start-up as the winner of the day. The winner will receive prize money of 2.000 euros.
These start-ups and companies will attend:
