Biography

Andrea Gebhard was elected President of the Federal Chamber of Architects on 28 May 2021. The landscape architect and urban planner has been involved in professional politics for many years. In 1989, she became a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and, since 1990, a member of the Association of German Landscape Architects (BDLA). She was president of the BDLA from 2007 to 2013. Since 1999, she has been a member of the German Academy for Urban and Regional Planning (DASL). Since 2012, she has been a member of the Board of Trustees for National Urban Development. In 2022, she was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Bundesstiftung Baukultur as Vice Chair. Since 2009, she has been co-owner of the office mahl gehard konzepte. Foto © BAK Laurence Chaperon
