The award ceremonies for internationally recognized architecture awards and renowned product awards allow you to experience the winners up close.
For the 15th time the architectural journal AIT and AIT-Dialog in cooperation with Messe München GmbH, initiated the Innovation Award Architecture+ Building during the BAU fair in Munich. The Innovation Award is intended for manufacturers of innovative products and materials for the complete contract, industrial building segment and for residential construction, as well as for architects, interior designers and designers who work in these areas and have developed associated products. Participation was open to all exhibitors at the BAU who have registered their products for the Innovation Award Architecture+ Building.
The award ceremony took place on Monday, April 17th, 2023 at 5pm at the booth of the Innovation Award.

This prize, which is important for young talent in the construction industry, is awarded in the competition areas of civil engineering, construction management, architecture, and crafts and technology, and recognizes special IT solutions for the construction industry. The award ceremony is held under the patronage of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection and takes place as part of the "Digital Planning, Building and Operating" event.

For the first time, DBZ Deutsche Bauzeitschrift and the Association of German Master Builders, Architects and Engineers (BDB) will be presenting the Balthasar Neumann Award at BAU. The Balthasar Neumann Prize is awarded for exemplary, innovative cooperation between various disciplines on a building that goes beyond established technical standards and, as a result of this cooperation, displays outstanding architectural and technical qualities.

Since 2009, there has been the University Day, which began here in Munich at the world's leading trade fair BAU as an education offensive 2050. What teaching content will students use in the future to focus on the topics of old and new construction as well as energy efficiency and ecological construction. What tasks must the profession of architect and civil engineer put? Teachers and students want to approach these questions. The University Day consists of the conference of teachers, the tour of the students and the competition STUDENTS | SHAPING | FUTURE.
